Sylvia
has performed around the country and around the
world as Christine in “The Phantom of
the Opera”, in which she was personally
directed by Harold Prince. On Boadway, she appeared
as Johanna
in “Sweeney Todd", the
Mother Abbess in “The Sound of Music” and
as a soloist with the New York City Opera Company.
Her National
credits include “La Cage Aux Folles” (Anne)
directed by Arthur Laurents, “The Secret
Garden” (Lily) opposite Craig Schulman, “Follies” (Young
Phyllis) opposite Juliet Prowse & “Jekyll & Hyde” (Emma),
opposite Brad Little and Sean McDermott.
Sylvia now sings with her partner, Eric, in
the medieval duo, ASTERIA. Heralded by the New
York Times as “deeply communicative” and “meltingly
beautiful, ASTERIA won Early Music America’s
1st Unicorn Prize for emerging artists in North
America. They can be seen performing this December
at the Cloisters Museum, NYC. ASTERIA has released
their debut CD of French Love Songs from the
15th century, “Le Souvenir de Vous Me Tue”,
which became an instant best-selling album with
their online label www.magnatune.com. It is also

Among her many talents, Sylvia crafts spectacular
dolls, individually commissioned. Her work includes
portrait dolls, sought after by actors who wish
to commemorate a signature role. A selection
